Bakutung Lodge and Noro Kalahari Spa

The following blog post was written on the evening of the 28th July.

It was a beautiful day here at the Bakutung Lodge!

Many of us were planning to do the hot air balloon ride this morning, but it was too windy (which we were told when called at 4am). Although we were disappointed and have our fingers crossed for tomorrow morning, it opened up the day for us to try something else.

Many people decided to take advantage of the spa treatments offered at the Lodge’s spa. The Spa offers a wide range of services: massages, pedicures, facials and more! The most interesting option was the Ko Godimo Bust lifting treatment (the description reads: “Steam, exfoliate and mask are not only for your face. A very uplifting experience unfortunately not done by Brad Pitt”). However, nobody spent their 200Rand on that service.

Personally, my toenails look fantastic and the hour long treatment by the talented staff on my battered feet was well with the cost.

The pool deck was also inviting today, complete with monkeys who scurried around looking for attention and sorting through the garbage.
