The following blog post was written on the afternoon of the 1st of August
After finishing up at Linda’s this morning (once again, her place is fantastic) we headed back down to the beach to enjoy the sand and surf in the sunlight. The waves were huge!
We had the chance to watch some well dressed gentleman who were trying to collect water in giant plastic containers, apparently because the water has healing properties and can keep away bad spirits. The funny part was that they only rolled their pant legs to mid-calf and appeared to not want to get wet, so they would hold the container down to the sand but when a wave came they would hop/run away. This continued for an extended period of time.
